About of Leavers Week
Leavers’ Week is a cherished tradition in our fellowship, dedicated to celebrating and bidding farewell to our Level 400 students as they transition from university life into the corporate world. This special week serves as an opportunity to appreciate their contributions, reflect on their journey, and send them forth with prayers, encouragement, and blessings.
Purpose of Leavers Week
Leavers’ Week is a significant and well-structured initiative designed to honor and equip our Level 400 students as they transition from university life to the corporate world. This program is rooted in the values of faith, gratitude, and preparation, ensuring that our departing members step into their next phase of life with confidence, spiritual strength, and a strong support system.
1. A Time of Celebration and Gratitude
Leavers’ Week serves as an opportunity to recognize and appreciate the contributions of our graduating members to the fellowship. Throughout their years on campus, they have dedicated their time, talents, and efforts to various activities, ministries, and leadership roles. This program allows the entire fellowship to express gratitude for their service while celebrating their achievements.
2. Spiritual Strengthening and Encouragement
As our leavers prepare to enter the professional world, they will face new challenges, responsibilities, and environments that may test their faith. Leavers’ Week is designed to encourage them spiritually, reminding them to remain steadfast in their walk with God. Through prayers, impartation sessions, and words of encouragement from mentors, alumni, and leaders, we equip them with the wisdom and strength needed to thrive in their new journey.
3. Transitioning into the Corporate World
The corporate world comes with its own set of demands, expectations, and dynamics. This program provides practical guidance to help leavers transition smoothly into their careers. Through workshops, panel discussions, and mentorship from professionals and alumni, topics such as workplace ethics, financial management, career growth, and maintaining Christian values in a professional setting are addressed.
4. Strengthening Fellowship Bonds
Although our leavers may be physically departing from the university, they remain part of our larger fellowship family. Leavers’ Week fosters deeper connections between graduating members and the rest of the fellowship, reinforcing the idea that they always have a home and a network of support. It also helps integrate them into the alumni community, where they can continue to contribute to the fellowship in various ways.
5. A Time of Reflection and Testimonies
This program provides a platform for outgoing members to reflect on their university journey, share testimonies, and inspire younger students with their experiences. By recounting the lessons they have learned and the challenges they have overcome, they leave a legacy of wisdom and encouragement for those coming after them
6. Commissioning for the Future
Leavers’ Week is not just a farewell—it is a commissioning. We send forth our graduating members with blessings, prayers, and a charge to uphold the values they have cultivated in the fellowship. It is a reminder that they are ambassadors of Christ, called to be lights in their workplaces, communities, and every sphere of influence
